Found on Flickr: Obama Hope Stencil

Obama Hope Stencil by Aidenag.
After many requests, here is the stencil for the pumpkin i posted yesterday. I will be adding Shepard Faireys "Change" print next(gimme a few hours) As you can see i strayed a bit from the original stencil i made(the obama logo for instance, i didnt use the grey part but instead made it part of the white untouched section of pumpkin)
Basic Instructions, carve the Black parts the deepest, the grey half of what you do the black, and keep the white with its skin on. My other advice, would be to do a solid backround, not the 2 shades the stencil i made has. In the pumpkin i carved, i did both sides of the backround to the "black" depth.
Oh yeah, Carbon paper is your friend, by far the best way to get the print onto the pumpkin. Also i would highly recommend a dremel tool, but an exacto knife would still work(it's what i used on it, though im upgrading to dremel for the next one, exacto took WAY too long)

Really? Is that all?
I don't trust how well things are going for Obama. How could the GOP, who have been so successful in eking out electoral successes by appealing to such base fears and divisive ploys be failing so miserably with such a clunker of a candidate?
How could that guy with this quaint idea that we were really one great nation that had been led astray and just needed to proceed forward with the simple idea that we are the change that we were waiting for be on the brink of an LBJ level romp?
I don't trust it. I hope my cynicism is misplaced.

Prop 8
Just remember that the "Yes on 8" people are advancing the meme that it protects marriage. Just remember that by voting "Yes" on 8 you are actually removing the option of marriage from many of your fellow Californians.
So if you really want to "protect marriage" you have to say "no" on 8. Compare it to a situation where you want to get a pie that you could share with anyone that wanted a slice. In this case by saying "yes I want pie" would meant that only some of the people would get a slice of the pie. In this instance you have to say "No" in order for every one to get a slice of tasty, tasty pie.
