Prop 8 upheld?

As Heidi and I prepare to renew our vows for our 25th anniversary, we are both profoundly sad that Prop 8 has been upheld. This is a photo of my Pastor, Dr. June Goudey and her partner Ann celebrating their wedding. Although this ceremony occurred after the passage of Prop 8, they had a private ceremony and became officially married in the eyes of our state prior to the passage of the shameful proposition.

Today's Supreme Court Ruling does not void their marriage but prevents other committed women and men from receiving this same blessing. My marriage is not strengthened by this ruling, but rather has a shadow of injustice cast over it.
